Before You Sit and Sew
The success or failure of a garment is often determined before you even reach the machine. This class starts with the basics and includes topics like using the sewing machine, understanding patterns, learning sewing terms, creating a layout, cutting and marking, pressing, and using tools and notions. We begin with fabric purchase and preparation and progress to the process of reading the pattern. Demonstrations include basic techniques and you will sew samples for your notebook.
