Dana Lahargoue has been sitting behind a sewing machine, making her own clothes, prom dresses and wedding dress, since she was 8 years old. In 2001, she found quilting, her life went through a major change. Hand appliqué, precise piecing and free-motion quilting have become her passion. She began teaching in 2004, and has loved every minute. Dana works for a large general contractor by day and is often heard saying that when things get tough, she goes to her happy place: Quilting. In addition to quilting, Dana’s other love is her 13-year-old granddaughter Maddie, who she refers to as the “Future Quilter of America” and is Dana’s favorite quilt show buddie.
