Ellen’s formal training in architecture and historic preservation heavily influences this self-professed, technique junkie’s approach to quilting. She continuously experiments with new methods and materials for streamlining, but maintaining a high-level of craftsmanship, the quilt-construction process. As a quilt-maker and designer, Ellen’s sheer love of fabric and the quilting community itself that inspires her. She is a founding member of the Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild and is active in several local guilds. She loves all styles, from antique to traditional to modern, and encourages everyone to follow their heart.
