Serger Mastery II
This class builds on Serger Mastery I by including additional construction techniques and by using the basic overlock stitch. Topics in this class include how to sew corners, apply elastic, and apply spaghetti straps. Rolled edge basics, flatlock settings and decorative threads are also included in the course. All models and brands are welcome; however, you must know how to thread your machine. Pre-requisite: Serger Mastery 1

Marilyn Stanley is a certified Family and Consumer Scientist with a Masters in Education who teaches in the Fashion Program at Sacramento City College and numerous Adult Education classes in the Sacramento area. Her vast background in clothing, textiles, and fashion contribute to her precise approach toward personal garment fitting and construction. As a Certified Palmer/Pletsch Instructor in Fit, Pant Fit, and Tailoring, she has been one of Sacramento's most popular and in-demand educators for leading workshops in fitting solutions and serging techniques. She originated the first Sewing club in the Sacramento area in 1984 with a monthly serger club meeting at the Yardage Shop on Arden Way. She began teaching the "Know Your Serger" classes in 1989 for Meissner's Sewing and Learning Center.
