Sewing has been in Sue Capella’s life for as long as she can remember. As a child, she watched her mom sew. She made most of her own clothes, and for the past 15 years, she has been following her true passion as a quilter. Sue almost always alters her clothing patterns in some way, a habit that has carried on into her quilting. Mostly self-taught, she enjoys every aspect of the quilting process, especially learning new techniques and experimenting with different ideas. In 2010, Sue got her first long-arm quilting machine. Sharing the joy and teaching others to quilt over the years has come naturally to her. Sue has developed a quilting program, including stand-up and sit-down long-arm machines certification/rental programs and teaches quilting and long-arm quilting classes. She is constantly thinking of new classes and programs to implement. With job experience as a full-time accountant and part-time cosmetologist, Sue has found the most rewarding experience in teaching.
