2018 Red Cross Real Heroes Awards

Sara Curtis

Congratulations are in order for our Meissner Sewing team in Santa Rosa for being among 75 nominees chosen for the 2018 Red Cross Real Heroes Awards.  Entering its 15th year, the Real Heroes Awards honor 18 inspirational community members, whose actions reflect the values of the Red Cross and promote a positive and lasting impact on the residents in the Northwest California region.

This year, our Santa Rosa employees were honored with a certificate of appreciation for their assistance in helping to rebuild the greater Napa Valley area after the devastating Nun and Tubbs fires.  Meissner Sewing, with the help of instructor Alys Hay, partnered with local sewing guilds by providing sewing space and materials to create pillowcases and quilts for residents affected by the wildfires.
