  • Sew What's Coming to Meissner Sewing?

    Happy New Year Makers!

    2018 is here, and if your sew-lution was to carve out more time to be creative  we have some suggestions for you. The calendars below only lists a small portion of the variety of events and classes that are coming to Meissner Sewing locations in January and February.

    January 2018 Highlights:

    If you are looking to get in the Valentine's Day spirit, head to the Folsom store to create the Pixelated Heart with Tanna Schreiner or the Lil' Twister Heart Wall Hanging with Judy Scollay.

    If your looking for something a bit more winter inspired, try Tanna's Scrappy Applique Snowflake class or take a page out of Amy Gibson's Quilt Block Cookbook and attend the 3-session Cooking with Blocks class starting on January 30th.

    Angel Chesney kicks off the new year with the 10th Annual HoopSisters EmbroidaBlock of the Month Quilt, called Sisterhood. Register to attend the FREE planning session on January 16th in Folsom or on January 27th in Sacramento.

    Join Pati Fried, recent addition to our talented team of instructors, and follow her as she guides you through creating original quilt designs in Tweaking Tradition, One Block at a Time starting on January 17th.

    February 2018 Highlights:

    Beginning sewists can learn the basic techniques in Jeanne Powell's Basic Beginning Sewing, or head to the Folsom store for Adult Beginning & Intermediate Sewing.

    Our OESD Super Spree events in Sacramento and Santa Rosa have been sold out for weeks, but there are still plenty of other opportunities to learn about embroidery in a variety of classes this February.

    Don't forget, the new Spring Meissner Magazine will be out at the end of January! Filled with tons of new classes and events, you won't want to miss out on.
