Navigate Meissner Magazine

Emily Achondo

If you have been following along with us on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and MeissnerSewing.com, then you know that last week we published the Holiday Issue of Meissner Magazine.

We’ve already shared a bit deeper of a look at just a few of the events that we will be hosting through the rest of 2016, and now, we’d like to delve deeper into the contents of the catalog.

Here's a full breakdown of the most recent catalog:

Events:

  • Page 2: In February 2017, we’re bringing a Spring Anita Goodesign Embroidery Party to San Jose! “Sign up today to shake the winter blues away,” by joining us at the Terrace at Willow Glenn on February 2-3, or February 4-5, 2017, for a spring celebration. Registration includes lunch, snacks, refreshments, special pricing on Anita Goodesign products, and so much more! In the game-show format of these parties, you get to choose which designs to stitch up and discuss at the team-sewing event. Sign up at: http://bit.ly/2g82C0g
  • Page 3: BLACK FRIDAY will be here before you know it! Make sure to check in at Meissner Sewing.com on November 23rd to preview the sale that will run November 25-26, 2016. All Meissner locations will open at 12 p.m. on Black Friday. Support small businesses by shopping with Meissner on Saturday, and also remember to browse our online collections to receive special savings on Cyber Monday.
  • Page 7: Susan Beck, author of The Big Book of Feet, is bringing her accessory expertise to Meissner Sacramento. Sign up for the Lecture, Demonstration and book signing on December 1st or for the hands-on workshop on December 2nd or 3rd. Both these events are recommended for machine owners of all makes and models, so don't miss the opportunity to expand your machine's accessory tool box!
  • Page 10: Danielle Wilkes, a Janome brand ambassador, will be making a separate stop at each of the four Meissner locations in early December for a hands-on quilting event. We will supply the tips, tricks and machines for you to use during  your Quilt Away experience. You will leave this event feeling "quilted away" with knowledge and inspiration. Visit our website to get full event details.
  • Page 14: Celebrate the Life, Art and Color of Laurel Burch during the Free Event in Santa Rosa on December 10th! Just bring your markers or colored pencils so that you can immerse your creativity with color when Aarin Burch, Laurel's daughter, shares her mother's newly-released coloring pages rendered from  Laurel's art.
  • Page 17: Paula Nadelstern is an award-winning quilter and author, and she will be presenting a slide lecture in Sacramento on January 27th during the Symmetry & Surprise: The Kaleisescope as Design Inspiration event. The lecture traces the evolution of Nadelstern’s kaleidoscope quilt series. She will make her first appearance in Sacramento on January 26th with the Sixty-Thirty kaleidescope class, which will be a hands-on exploration on complex textiles. This class will also take place in Santa Rosa on January 28th. Seating is very limited for these dates, so ensure you have seat by registering today.
  • Page 19: Escape to the Hope Yoder Cutting Edge Retreat this coming February! Spend two days immersed in inspiration, projects and detailed instruction on digital cutting and mixed media during the team-sewing event. Take advantage of the Early Registration Offer and sign up before December 31, 2016, to save $30. Dates for this retreat include: February 21-22, in Santa Rosa and February 24-25 in Sacramento.
  • Page 20: Craft Napa 2017 is right around the corner! Meissner Sewing has partnered with Craft Napa to bring BERNINA machines to the second annual Craft Napa event. During this retreat in the heart of Wine Country, you can partake in workshops on quilting printmaking and more. • Page 21: Save the Date! Registration for the Floriani Hands On Embroidery Event in San Jose will become available on January 30th, but it's never too early to start planning. So mark your calendar to join Meissner Sewing, Kathi Quinn and a special mystery guest May 11-12, 2017 for a hands-on event. This event was a favorite in Sacramento, and we're bringing the same educational and fun environment to San Jose. With plenty of prizes, new techniques and fun, this event is one you just can't miss.
  • Page 21:  We are constantly updating our website with information on coming Quilt, Craft and Sewing Festivals, so make sure to follow along on social media and on our website for notifications on where we will be! We're packing up this February to travel to Fresno for the Fresno Quilt, Craft and Sewing Festival, where we will be gathering with other great companies to offer workshops and educational seminars.
