Jody Burks

Jody Burks has been sewing and creating since her early years. She still possess the first two pieces of clothing that she made for her much-beloved Barbie doll in 1959. Her mom taught her how to sew, and she continued to sew through junior high and high school in Home Economics classes. She says that making or creating was always her happy time. Through the years, she has cross stitched, knitted, quilted and painted, and in the past 15 (or so) years, Jody has enjoyed machine embroidery. She also owned a craft/quilting store and still, to this day, says that she loved it. In 2016, she became an event ambassador and teacher at Meissner’s. She has enjoyed both as she meets and helps fellow Meissner Makers.
