Store Manager | Modesto, CA

We are continually trying to provide and enable the best sewing experience possible for our customers. Customers love to visit our stores because we offer a unique experience by sharing advice, showing techniques and inspiring creativity.

We are currently looking for a full time Store Manager for a new store in the Modesto, CA. area. Running the day to day operations of this store will encompass a wide variety of duties.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide oversight and direction to all employees.
  • Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
  • Maintain employee work schedules including a sewing class schedule.
  • Manage total sales and profitability of the store.
  • Become familiar with a wide variety of sewing machines, embroidery machines and serger in terms of: selling features, knowledge support and some basic technical support.
  • Merchandise, organize and arrange store products in a way to optimize the customer experience.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must have basic sewing skills and fabric knowledge.
  • Must have sewing machine experience.
  • Must have basic computers skills including Windows based applications. Must have Point of Sale and/or Inventory Software experience
  • Knowledge and experience in supervision and management.
  • Sewing experience: 5+ years (Required)
  • Retail: 2+ years (Preferred)

Roles and Responsibilities:
Machine instruction educators are responsible for teaching New Owner Guide Classes for products sold in our store; assisting with special events and developing specialty machine focused classes.

  • Guide new machine owners through sewing/embroidery functions of their machines
  • Provide new machine owners with the information needed to be successful with their machines
  • Assist/monitor special events
  • Meet the needs of our customers by demonstrating and selling sewing machines and related products to fulfill their creative desires
  • Create inspiring and well-made samples
  • Provide  excellent customer service and experience in the classroom and on the sales floor
  • Promote and maintain a safe working and shopping environment
  • Consists of a 40 hour, 5 day work week with Sundays off

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of sewing experience
  • Sewing/Embroidery Knowledge; Software knowledge preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication, verbal & written skills
  • Ability to create an inspiring environment for customers
  • Strong commitment to customer service

Sales Consultant | All Locations

A Sales Consultant is responsible for meeting the needs and desires of creative enthusiasts by demonstrating and selling sewing machines and related products.

  • Interact with customers daily in order to achieve individual and team sales goals
  • Create inspiring displays of merchandise and samples
  • Perform daily cash wrap duties in a timely manner
  • Create the ultimate customer experience while focusing on strategic, operational and leadership excellence
  • Promote and maintain a safe working and shopping environment
  • Consists of a 40 hour, 5-day work week

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Small Machine Technician | Sacramento, CA

We are looking to add a technician to our staff in Sacramento, CA. Experience with repair in small machinery is required. Experience with repair of electronics and knowledge of sewing machine repair is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. We service all makes and models of sewing and embroidery machines and are looking for a full-time employee. Hours are Monday - Friday 9am through 5pm.

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous repair experience: 1 year
  • Full-time

Warehouse Clerk/Driver | Sacramento, CA

We are looking for a full-time Warehouse Clerk at our Sacramento location. The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for picking, stocking and tracking warehouse inventory. Duties also include assisting with set up and tear down for events, assisting guests in lifting machines and/or cabinets, and making deliveries to outlying stores and customers.

  • Check in inventory shipments to store location
  • Do weekly serialized inventory
  • Organize and clean warehouse space
  • Assist the team with set up/tear down of classrooms and event space
  • Check machines in and out for service
  • Carry out machines and cabinets for guests
  • Hang promotional signs and change out consistently with sales events
  • Assemble cabinets for sales floor and guests as needed

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience as a warehouse clerk
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, and stoop, squat, kneel, crouch and crawl depending on the task requirements
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Must have the ability to use a pallet jack, dolly or carts when moving items weighing more than 50 pounds
