Schedule of classes for Friday, November 2nd:

Quilting Mehndi
Learn how to quilt beautiful freehand Mehndi designs on the long-arm. These intricate, traditional Indian henna tattoos will add spice to the background of any quilt. Fast and easy to quilt, these designs will quickly become addictive. You will love these fancy, elegant motifs, and be amazed at how easy they are to quilt with hardly any marking. This class is hands-on.

So I Got It Pieced, Now What
Everyone has gotten to the end of a quilt pattern and read with dread the words Quilt as Desired. What exactly does this mean? This class will talk about different ways to quilt your quilts. What quilting patterns compliment piecework vs. applique, straight lines vs. curves. We will also discuss quilting density, which type of thread to use and ways to plan out your quilting with minimal marking. Please bring your trouble tops and we will try and talk about how to quilt as many as possible.

Schedule of classes for Saturday, November 3rd:

Fun Feathers That Fit Anywhere
Want to quilt fun, fabulous feathers, but don’t want to mark or do a lot of measuring? Not sure how to fit them into the quilt block you want? Then this is the class for you. This class will discuss how to fit feathers into virtually any shape with little or no marking. Kris will also talk about how to quilt feathers with a minimum of stops, starts, and backtracking. This class is designed for the person that already has some skill as a quilter, either on a domestic or a longarm machine. Examples of various shapes will be provided. This class is hands-on.

Easy Background Fillers for Machine Quilting
This class will cover a variety of background fillers to use in your machine quilting. These will include, but are not limited to pebbles swirls, flames, flowers, feathers and McTavishing. This class will be in a lecture format and is suitable for all intermediate/advanced domestic and long arm quilters. Numerous examples will be available to see designs as they look quilted.
